Introducing the Remarkable Duo: Jocelyn and Bally
Hello and welcome to the page dedicated to one of Central Virginia Horse Rescue’s most incredible teams—CVHR Team Bally. We’re thrilled that you’re here to follow along on an inspiring journey of resilience, healing, and unbreakable bonds.
Bally is a 3-4-year-old Thoroughbred mare who came to Central Virginia Horse Rescue during a severe neglect seizure in June. Unfortunately, she was one of the worst cases on the farm, her condition so dire that we weren’t always certain she would pull through. But Bally is a fighter, and she’s starting to show signs of her true spirited nature as she gradually recovers.
The Challenge and the Showcase
Jocelyn and Bally have teamed up to embark on a “comeback tour,” beginning with the highly anticipated Youth Trainer Challenge and Showcase for Central Virginia Horse Rescue. This event is not just a competition but an opportunity for growth, exposure, and advocacy for horse welfare.
In this challenge, Jocelyn will be working closely with Bally, employing a series of rehabilitation exercises, training modules, and loving care, aiming to bring out the best in this beautiful mare. The end goal is not just to win a competition, but to completely rehabilitate Bally, readying her for a new chapter in life—one where neglect and suffering are distant memories.
